Reciprocal Clubs

What is reciprocity?

In yachting community, yacht clubs offer the privileges of their facilities and fleets to the members of other yacht clubs. The clubs work together for the mutual benefit by offering reciprocal benefits to each other's members.

Reciprocol Clubs

As a member of the Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA) and the Association of Santa Monica Bay Yacht Clubs (ASMBYC), Fairwind offers reciprocity to the more than 90 yacht clubs belonging to those associations. We also offer reciprocity to more than 50 other community sailing organizations and yacht clubs across the country.

The following list of yacht clubs offer Fairwind members their facilities on a reciprocal basis. Please remember a few courtesies:
  1. Call ahead - especially if you haven't visited the facility before.
  2. Fly your Fairwind Yacht Club burgee when using guest facilities.
  3. Carry your current FYC membership card and be prepared to cheerfully present it, if requested.
  4. Follow all rules of the reciprocal yacht club.
  5. Follow the golden rule and show other yacht clubs FYC members have fun and are welcome to return.
