Fairwind Yacht Club
2006 and 2007 SCYA Yacht Club of the Year

Reciprocal Clubs

What is reciprocity?

In yachting community, yacht clubs offer the privileges of their facilities and fleets to the members of other yacht clubs. The clubs work together for the mutual benefit by offering reciprocal benefits to each other's members.

Reciprocal Clubs

Although Fairwind has no Clubhouse, that does not deter other Yacht Clubs from offering us their kind hospitality, a practice that is symptomatic of the sailing community. There are so many Clubs from Santa Barbara to San Diego that have sent us their kind invitations to use their facilities that I am tempted to suggest that all Club's outside of our Home Ports are happy to offer their facilities to us as visiting yachtsmen. The following Clubs have sent invitations to Members of Fairwind Yacht Club and their guests, to use their facilities for the 2010 season:

Navy Yacht Club, San Diego
The Buccaneer Yacht Club, San Pedro
Pacific Mariners Yacht Club, Marina Del Rey
Lido Isle Yacht Club, Newport Beach
Navy Yacht Club, Long Beach
Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club, Oxnard
Cerritos Bahia Yacht Club, Long Beach
The Channel Islands Yacht Club, Oxnard
Dana West Yacht Club, Dana Point
Oceanside Yacht Club, Oceanside
South Shore Yacht Club, Newport Beach
Port Royal Yacht Club, Redondo Beach

It is advisable to carry your Fairwind Membership Card with you when visiting other Clubs. You can download and print your card from the Fairwind website.
