It's a beautiful day in Southern California and a steady southwesterly breeze is blowing - the perfect day for a sail. If you yearn to be out on the water, but don't own a boat, come and join Fairwind Yacht Club where you can enjoy the fun of sailing for a minimal quarterly fee.
Fairwind Yacht Club, an all volunteer sailing cooperative in Marina del Rey and Channel Islands Harbor (Oxnard), is the ideal way for boating enthusiasts to have year-round access to sailboats without the high costs of ownership. Established in 1966 as a nonprofit corporation, Fairwind Yacht Club is a family oriented association whose members enjoy free training, quality sailing, cruising and fun with fellow members who share a common love of sailing and the sea. The quarterly dues are painless. The volunteer work is fun and rewarding,. The benefits are numerous and include year-round access to sailboats of varying lengths and types, free training and group cruises organized by the Club to nearby marinas, Catalina Island, other offshore islands and for whale watching.

About Fairwind

Reservations for use of our twenty plus boats, which range from 14 to 40 feet, may be made in advance and members may take family and guests along at no additional cost. Restrooms, showers and parking facilities are all available for members and guests.
Membership Fees
Fairwind Yacht Club does not charge for boat usage since the membership cooperatively owns our own boats.

Quarterly dues are dependent on the boat level:

Small Boats $99
Medium Boats $195
Large Boats $270

There is $200 initiation fee (which includes your first quarter dues) and a refundable bond starting at $150. Rates are subject to change without notice.

FYC is currently accepting new members for our port in Channel Islands Harbor (Oxnard). To obtain information, you are invited to our Open House in Oxnard on the 3rd Sunday of each month. You can join us at 10am for a Day Sail, at Peninsula Park, 3333 Peninsula Rd., Oxnard 93035, between Hampton Inn and Casa Sirena Hotel.
You are also invited to attend our Free Sail and Open House the first Saturday of the month. Join us at 9:30am at C-Basin, Dock C-2400, located behind 14014 Panay Way, Marina del Rey.
