It's a beautiful day in
Southern California and a steady southwesterly breeze is blowing - the perfect day for a
sail. If you yearn to be out on the water, but don't own a boat, come and join
Fairwind Yacht Club where you can enjoy the fun of sailing for a minimal quarterly
fee.

Reservations for use of our twenty plus
boats, which range from 14 to 40 feet, may be made in advance and members may take
family and guests along at no additional cost. Restrooms, showers and parking
facilities are all available for members and guests.

FYC is currently accepting a limited number of experienced applicants for our port in Channel Islands Harbor (Oxnard). The membership in Oxnard is currently full; however, we will accept applications on a wait list basis until openings become available. To obtain information, you are welcome to join us for our Channel Islands Open House on Sunday, August 29, with orientation at 1pm followed by a daysail. Don't be late! Our CIH Open House in Oxnard is at Peninsula Yacht Marina, 3700 Peninsula Rd., Oxnard, CA 93035.
As of October 2009, the Marina del Rey Open House is open to current members and their guests only. First Saturday of the month at 9:30am at C-Basin, Dock C-2400, located behind 14014 Panay Way, Marina del Rey.

ownership. Established in 1966 as a nonprofit corporation, Fairwind Yacht Club is a
family oriented association whose members enjoy free training, quality sailing,
cruising and fun with fellow members who share a common love of sailing and the sea.
The quarterly dues are painless. The volunteer work is fun and rewarding,. The
benefits are numerous and include year-round access to sailboats of varying lengths
and types, free training and group cruises organized by the Club to nearby
marinas, Catalina Island, other offshore islands and for whale watching.
