General Information

Fairwind has four Capri 14.2K's in Channel Islands Harbor. These are keelboats rather than centerboard boats. These are our entry level boat for folks new to sailing. They are simple boats to sail, with few adjustments to make. They are very simple to set up, with a jib roller furling, and can generally be ready to go in a matter of minutes. They do have a self-bailing action which can permit water into the boat, which quickly drains. You should anticipate that your feet will get wet.

These are the boats that are the quickest and easiest to learn of our fleet.
