The Recreational Boaters of Californiais committed to the protection of all recreational boaters in California. The goals of the RBOC are
- to protect all California recreational boaters and boating rights
- to achieve and enhance a balance between protecting the environment and the responsible use of our waterways
- to pursue effective education prior to new regulations
- to increase safety on the waterways
- to oppose unreasonable taxes and fees paid by boaters
- to ensure that recreational boating is excluded from proposed laws aimed at the maritime industry

The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) was organized in September 1958, and presently has a membership of over 350 U.S. and Canadian organizations, all with an interest in boating safety and education. The NSBC is the foremost coalition for the advancement and promotion of safer boating through education. |
